100% Post-Consumer Recycled Material

 

I have to admit, a year ago when I first saw one of the cardboard barrel pens I was skeptical. I wasn’t sure what the response would be.

 

A few months after that, I was at a trade show and one of the exhibitors (a pretty large corporation) was giving out these pens. I asked the lady what she thought of them and she lit up saying:

 

…They are awesome…they really ‘say’ eco-friendly. They don’t need a recycled symbol or special name for customers to understand that they are getting something that is green!

 

There are a few factories that make this style of pen and there is a difference. I finally found one that I liked to write with. Key things to note on this eco-pen:

 

  • The barrel is 100% post-consumer recycled paper
  • The clip (which looks like a popsicle stick but has smooth edges and a square bottom) is 100% post-consumer recycled wood
  • The trim pieces are 100% post-consumer recycled plastic
  • The refill is first-run meaning that they never use recycled refills…this ensures that they write well and are consistent quality.
One thing we love about this company...they offer 24 hour service on this pen. The downside is that you won't see a proof, but if you know your artwork will fit perfectly in the imprint area, Logomark will have your  pens produced and out the door in 24 hours, at no added cost!

 

A little side note on paper…any products using 100% post-consumer recycled paper are made entirely from recycled materials. Not one tree gets cut down to make them!

 

These pens are still pretty light weight and I would say not as comfortable as a pen with a grip on the bottom…but they are unbeatable when you want to give the message that you are making an environmentally conscious decision!

 

The barrel is always the color of cardboard and the trim options are Black, Green, Blue and Red.

  • Set up charge is $56.25
  • Imprint areas are:
    • On the side below clip 1 1/4” W x ¼” H
    • On the clip 1 ¼” W x 3/16” H
  • If you want to print in both locations, add $0.20/pen for the second location plus another set up charge of $56.25
  • The pens are about 5 ½” long
  • Shipping by UPS or FedEx ground is additional. If you need them faster, let us know.
